It is DVS Pipelines' policy and intent to progress its business in accordance with the duty of care under section 2(3) of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the requirements as detailed with the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1992 and other Acts and Regulations specific to the progressing of the business.

DVS Pipelines is committed to managing its employees and planning the business to ensure that work is executed safely in all areas of its operation. The company aims to achieve continual improvement by measuring its performance and reviewing and improving its working practices and safety policy.

DVS Pipelines provides the necessary instruction, training and supervision to ensure that all employees can perform their duties safely, including issue of all necessary protective equipment and clothing and the suitable provision of welfare access and egress.

All tasks and works are subject to risk assessment to ensure that all risks are known and suitably controlled. This includes an assessment of the working environment and the implementing necessary control measures to ensure that employees and non-employees are suitability protected.

During their induction training all personnel are made aware of their health and safety responsibilities, including their responsibility not to misuse or intentionally recklessly interfere with any plant or equipment used by them or fellow employees, they are encouraged to take responsibility for their own health and safety and to notify their line manager of any unsafe practice or conditions. Each individual's continued development is delivered through DVS Pipelines' training programme.
