Rapid Setting Polymeric Spray Lining
The rehabilitation technologies available to water companies have historically been limited to mains renewal techniques such as open-cut, excavation or inserted polyethylene technologies (directional drilling, slip lining, pipe bursting). In situations where water quality issues, rather than structural concerns, are the drivers DVS Pipelines can offer a cost effective alternative to renewal with rapid setting non structural lining. The in situ applied lining material allows the pipeline to be returned to service within a few hours and offers protection against internal corrosion and water quality problems.
DVS Pipelines, working closely with the formulator and manufacturer E Wood Ltd, has been at the forefront of developing the application of Copon Hycote 169 HB, a new generation of rapid setting semi structural polymeric in situ lining which protects the pipeline's internal integrity giving improved water quality while offering further structural enhancement.
Copon Hycote 169 HB is suitable for application to a variety of pipeline materials including cast iron, ductile iron, previously coated cast or ductile iron and asbestos cement.
DVS Pipelines was the first company to be WRc approved to apply a three millimetre lining in one single application using Copon Hycote 169 HB.
